The Start-Up Project (Essential)

The heart of your second and third semester is the Start-Up Project. This is your arena to turn entrepreneurial ambition into a tangible venture. Whether you already have a breakthrough idea or are simply driven to build something from scratch, this is where you take action.

No Idea? No Problem. You do not need a pre-set business plan to succeed here. You will find your future co-founders within our interdisciplinary community and identify market gaps together. We provide the ecosystem where passion meets opportunity.

Expert support every step of the way. You are never building in isolation. Throughout the entire process, you are backed by experienced coaches, expert feedback and peer power.

Real world experience. This is the most intensive part of the program. You will invest your time into validating, prototyping and pitching your venture. It is your first real step as a founder in Europe's most active startup hub.

The Areas (Essential)

Beyond building your own venture, you take ownership of the program itself. In the Areas, you step into a leadership role to drive the Manage and More ecosystem forward. This is your playground to test professional skills in a real organizational environment.

Dynamic choice every semester. You can choose a new Area every semester. This allows you to explore different fields of interest and, most importantly, collaborate with even more active members of our interdisciplinary community.

Our five strategic Areas: Digital Innovation, Marketing, Community & Culture, Curriculum, International & Partnerships

The Areas are where our culture is built. Whether you are organizing a startup tour or managing partner relations, you are learning how to lead teams and deliver results in a high-performance environment.

Coaching 1

Coaching

We are convinced that if you want to lead others, you must first learn to lead yourself. As a scholarship holder, individual sessions with coaches are available to you. The focus here is on your personal development and the topics you would like to work on individually. This could for instance be navigating the entrepreneurial ecosystem as a woman. Sounds exciting? It is! Take your individual skills to the next level.

Events

Get to know new people, companies and ideas throughout the semester. Examples are our Meet and Mingles at various startups in Munich where you get to know the company as well as the people, the Start and Spread – one of the biggest pitch events in Munich, our Start-up tour to the hotspots of the start-up scene worldwide, experience days at companies such as BMW and many more!

Workshops

Workshops

Each semester, you can participate in up to 15 exclusive workshops led by experts in order to reflect on your individual strengths and weaknesses and work with them. Topics include, but are not limited to leadership, self-organization, rhetoric, artificial intelligence, unconscious biases and many more!

Mentoring 1

Mentoring

Mentoring at Manage and More provides you with an experienced professional. You will be matched with a person that can help you with your individual interests, needs and career goals and give you insights from their professional as well as private experience. This is a great opportunity to get insights into environments you would like to immerse yourself in after your studies.

Start-up Tours

Every semester, we organize a Startup Tour - a unique opportunity to explore the startup scene in cities across Europe and beyond. Participants visit startups, accelerators, and venture capital firms to gain firsthand insight into local innovation scenes and build valuable connections.

In addition to the professional visits, we always include unique local experiences to get to know the city in a fun and memorable way. For many scholars, the tour is one of the highlights of their time at Manage and More.

Lisbon

Portugal

“The Startup Tour in Lisbon was an amazing experience for me. It was incredible to see how vibrant and beautiful a city can be, not only in terms of culture and cuisine, but also in innovation and entrepreneurship. Visiting startups and institutes that foster innovation was both inspiring and eye-opening. Sharing this experience with fellows from so many different generations made it even more enriching, as it provided the opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives in a unique and collaborative way. One of the highlights of the trip was the unforgettable boat tour with Start Lisbon along the Tejo River.” Rafael Schellhorn de Sá G42

Sofia

Bulgaria

“The Startup Tour in Sofia was more than just an inside look at a new ecosystem—it was a 4 days of inspiration, spontaneous moments, and deep connection. Beyond the meetings and insights, it was the long conversations with fellow scholars, shared laughter during late nights, and the feeling of being surrounded by people who genuinely challenge and support each other that made it unforgettable. Grateful to be part of a community where learning and growth happen just as much between the official agenda points as during them.” Sahbi Faidi G41

Tallin

Estonia

"The startup-tour in Tallin was for me a resemblance of Manage and More and the European diversity. Estonia offers a very digital and Startup friendly environment. But the core of the tour for me was diving in the eastern/northern European culture with sauna, curling and traditional food together with fellow scholars.” Timo Sattler G40

Istanbul

Turkey

"I loved experiencing the city through an entrepreneurial lens. Everbody was very impact-driven and visiting the entrepreneurial ecosystem naturally gave us all a true understanding of how Istanbul's start-up scene is developing. Personally, I also enjoyed pitching MM to Kworks - the entrepreneurship research center of Koç University and was surprised how well known UnternehmerTUM is in the European entrepreneurship ecosystem. Milan

Italy

"I truly enjoyed the start-up tour to Milan that I did at the beginning of my first semester. I was one of the lucky scholars from a new generation who got a ticket and together with a couple of new friends we went on a road trip there. I believe that it's the best way to start your MM journey as you directly get a chance to get to know many scholars and alumni in a relaxed atmosphere." Vladimir Smoley, G38

"Experiencing how innovation and tradition blend in this pulsating city while enjoying the southern sun was a blast. Furthermore, I did not only get to know a new city but also my MM family from another side, having some completely different experiences! It‘s a 'Klassenfahrt' like back in schooldays, just way nicer!" Felicitas von Braunmühl, G37

Berlin

Germany

“Since I joined the tour even before I was accepted to the program most of the other people were strangers to me, but they became friends throughout the trip, and I realized for the first time what the Manage and More community is all about. What a time: During the day inspiring discussions with great founders and at night dancing past sunrise to techno music. Until today stories from those great four days keep coming up."
